If you do not live in China, I guess you have no idea what a VPN is. A VPN is a “Virtual Private Network” that allows you to bypass the “great firewall” and access all blocked sites such as Google, Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest, Le Monde, etc … The list is long! With a VPN, we have a window open to the outside world. We are informed and free to express ourselves. Someone who lives in China without VPN lives in a bubble, full of lies and omission.
If you live in China, you surely heard about this next year’s restriction. Horrifying, isn’t it? I still hope that paid VPN will remain active, otherwise … I’m afraid that we will have no other choice but to leave. Living in the Chinese internet bubble is not an option to me. And no more Game of Thrones? Reason number 1 to leave! And you, how do you feel about all this?
