If you haven’t gone through this beautiful “postpartum” time in your life, this drawing might not mean much to you.
Postpartum is the period just after delivery. Every woman, every couple experiences it differently. For me it felt like I went through a steamroller, (thanks to my endless delivery …) a tsunami of hormones which brought me from laughter to tears in 2 seconds, an extreme fatigue that made me think that I would never sleep again in my life and… a cloud of happiness so intense that I believed I was dreaming.
…and a permanent constipation too. Because pooping while breastfeeding is not an option.
And you, how was your postpartum?
PS: By the way, in case you are wondering, after delivery the uterus is still bleeding heavily… so the new mom wears diaper too. #likebabylikemama #thetruth
