I must say: gender in French don’t make any sense. It’s not like in English where it depends on who it belongs to.
Male organ can be female gender and female organ can be male gender.
I know, it sounds confusing and I wouldn’t know how to explain.
It really bother my boyfriend who always try to find an explanation “Why, why is it like this, how do we know what is feminine and what is masculine?”
Well… I don’t know! It’s like that. You just have to learn everything by heart.
