We use an average of 30 to 80 liters of water when we shower. (Taking a bath requires 150 to 200 liters but I think you got the idea that when you are eco-friendly you give up on taking a bath.)
Water is precious. Even though in China it’s undrinkable, we use it to shower so it’s precious.
Here are my tips to save as much water when I shower:
1) Take short shower. Around 3 minutes. No need to stay one hour to get clean!
2) Stop the water when use soap. Then you can take your time to wash yourself.
For those who go crazy like me:
Bonus1 : Get back the water that flows before reaching the right temperature in a pail and reuse it to water your plants, wash the floor or flush! When you flush it’s 10 liters of water gone…
Bonus 2: Pee in the shower 😉
What about you? Are you a water saver or you enjoy a long and hot shower? I promise I won’t judge you.
Anyway, next time you will shower, you will think about me 😉
Have a lovely day!
