WHY?
To stop using cotton swabs… which is the second most found waste in the ocean.
This small single use plastic stick is often thrown in the toilet and end up in the sea, on the beaches or in the stomach of the birds.
The good news is : cotton swab will be banned in France in 2020. It’s time to find an alternative: a bamboo or stainless ear pick, your little finger… there are many tools that can be used and they are much better for the health of our ears and our planet!
This sad picture was taken in the waters of Indonesia by the wildlife photographer Justin Hofman and reveals a worrying reality about the state of our oceans.
